Vintage Bathing Suits

What can I say what girl doesn't love vintage bathing suits? My favorite style is the suit dress that was very popular during the 40's through the 60's. These are some of my favorite suits and under each photo I have said what I like most about it! Comment and tell me your favorite and why! Thanks! This Suit is really colorful and that's why I love it. It also has a really big tropical vibe to it don't you think? The print is fabulous!

I really love how this suit sort of ruffles at the bottom that gives it a really original look. I also like the print and the colors really compliment each other.

This one reminds me more of a light, soft, cotton, summer dress and not so much of a bathing suit, but that why I love it. Also because it looks super comfortable!

Blue is my favorite color and this shade is just adorable. The whole suit is adorable. I love the ruffles underneath. It makes the suit look so much fun.

I really like the almost plaid look on this suit. The colors are very bright and fun and I like how this suit is made. Over all: Cute!

I really love the color on this bathing suit. I also love polka dots so that's another plus. The brown and the pink are a great mix together and how the bottom puffs out like that is really nice.

Oh my gosh! I love this color! Plus the design on the strap is really cute.

I really like how the bathing suit is a light pink and how it has that hot pink color down the side. The tiny bow gives it a really feminine look.

This is the only two piece I have on here because as I said I love the suit dresses, but this one made the cut. I like the plaid look and this bathing suit really shows how cute plaid is.

Because this bathing suit is all black it really makes the red buttons and straps stand out.

My color! I also like the skirt at the bottom. That's really sun and cute. I have never seen anything like this one before.

I really like this bathing suit and I actually have it except I have it in blue. Its really comfortable and really slims and bring out your curves.

My favorite part of this bathing suit is the lace at the top. I think that's really cute and really makes it very unique.
Last, but defiantly not least this cute little polka dot piece. I hope if I ever put this suit I look as adorable as Minnie mouse!

Beach Themed Wedding Cakes

When I get older my dream is to have my wedding right on the beach and make it all beached themed. Of course the cake would have to be beached themed too. So I decided to look up some wedding cakes and these were my favorites! Do you agree?

What I love About The Beach

The sand, the waves, the children's cries
of joy and laughter ,the clear blue skies
the surfers that surf with so much passion,
those few people who come out just for fashion,
those tiny sandcastle that you built, lost then never found ,
those lucky children who did and knocked them down,
the soft waves that crash onto the shore,
the seagulls, the Pier, and so much more
the beach is such a beautiful place the oceans such a beautiful thing
isn't it amazing how much joy one place can bring?

Beachy

As you might notice I use the word beachy a lot in my blog and apparently when I spell check them it says beachy is not a word. Honestly I don't really care its a word to me which I use to describe a beach atmosphere. Like oh this place is really beachy. You understand right? Now we just need to get blog spot to! =)

Hawaiian Breeze

This is the best smelling stuff on earth. I wanted my room to smell more tropical so I got this febreze air freshener in the Hawaiian Breeze scents and in about a minuet it filled up my room with this sweet smelling fragrance. Every time I walk into my room I almost faint because it smells so good! This is a must buy for sure!

New Shelves!

This picture shows the two new shelves we just put up in my room. They look very nice and I am very happy with the results. On top of the shelves are my surfer girl figure, a group of pretty seashells, and this glass boat I got pictured above.

Surfer Girl

Hey! As many of you don't know I am fascinated by surfing and I hope to try it in the next few months. Well I was actually out just a few days ago and as you know I always keep an eye out for beachy things to put in my room and I came across this surfer girl figure and I just had to have it! Adorable isn't it?

My brother and sister at the Beach

This is the picture that is in the frame on the post below. My brother and sister are walking through the water in Laguna beach carrying Johnny Rockets Balloons. I love this picture!

Seashell Picture Art

Finding More useful ways to use my seashells. I think the pictures speak for themselves, but I will still say what I did. I took the seashells and glued them to two picture frames I already had in my room. I think they both came out nice. I made the first one even more beachy by putting a photo of my brother and sister at the beach! Too cute....

Cute Seashell Decoration

Hi! This weekend I took a trip to Huntington beach with my family and my best friend Viry. After playing in the sand and boogie boarding on some waves we worked up an appetite and decided to try Aloha Grill. The food was good and the atmosphere was amazing. I really loved that place, but what I loved most were these cute table centers they had, which were glass jars filled with seashells. Of course I just had to go and make my own so here is the one I made.
My mom had this pretty little glass bowl just lying around so I took it and filled it with seashells and Tied this cute beach colored ribbon around the top. I filled it with the seashells I got from the store and I think it looks amazing!

My Room Before

So I was sitting by my computer and thought well since I am giving my room a makeover why not do before and after pictures. The only problem is I don't have after pictures yet, but hopefully I will post them up soon too! For now your eyes must burn at the sight of my hideous room! Enjoy!

My Favorite Beaches

Laguna Beach

New Port Beach

Santa Monica Peir

Venice beach
I don't really live that close to the beach, but I live close enough that almost every weekend me and my family go to the beach and these are the ones we go to the most and my personal favorites!

Isn't this Bed adorable?

I really love this bed set and I am trying to see if I can get it.. It's so cute isn't it! The only problem is that it costs $50.00 and that's without shipping and handling fees. Yes $50.00 isn't a whole lot of money but still its just might be enough to make my parents say no. Before I really hook myself onto this bed set I'm going to head over to Bed Bath and Beyond and Big Lots and check out with they have!

Easy Ocean Night Light: What you will need and steps

What You will need:
1 Nightlight with a white outer frame
( I got mine at the Dollar Tree for a dollar)

Acrylic or water color paint
(Acrylic works best)

Super Glue or A hot glue gun
(I used super glue to avoid burning myself and for quicker results)

Assorted Small Seashells
(You will only use a couple)

Sparkle Glue
(Can be found at local Craft Store)

A few Artists Paintbrushes

Steps:
Figure out what you want to paint on your nightlight. I decided to paint the ocean with a clear baby blue sky, but a cute beach or underwater scene would be fine.

Using a thin artist paint brush paint your work onto the Nightlight then wait to dry.

Once the paint is dried add some glitter to your picture

Select a small seashell and using your glue gun or super glue, glue it to the top of the nightlight and add some sparkles to give it a cute shiny look

You can finish by adding more small shells to the side of your nightlight

Now plug your nightlight in and enjoy! The possibilities for this project are endless

Easy Ocean Night Light

I have two younger brother and sisters and they are terrified of the dark so every room in our house is equipped with nightlights. Plain boring nigh lights that is. So i decided why not just buy a really cool seashell one, but the only problem was the prices ranged from $5 to $15.00 for really nice ones! Now I thought no way so I came up with this cute little easy craft that's fun and cheap!

My First Purchase

Hi! So no one wants to spend a lot of money on anything and that includes redecorating my room which sounds like it will definitely cost a lot, but I have already made my first purchase and guess what the total was $2.18! That's right I went over to my neighborhood Dollar Tree and bought two nice sized bags of beautiful seashells to decorate my room with! I'm going to go back tomorrow and see what other things I can find to make my room beachy for less!
